If you think that Singaporeans aren’t creative, think again.

In recent years, there has been a rise in the number of local YouTubers churning our great content on the internet. Think the likes of Sneaky Sushii.

Singaporean YouTuber Sneaky Sushii has amassed over 24 million views.

As of the time of publication, the Singaporean YouTuber has already amassed over 24 million views 😲

But we’re not here to talk about the big leagues. As a website for marketing students, we wanna share stories of student YouTubers who have achieved some level of success while in college.

If you’re a student reading this, hopefully, you’ll feel inspired to keep pushing on regardless of your endeavors.

1) Dargoyaki

Daryl Goh, otherwise known by his nickname Dargo, is a Singaporean computing student at the National University of Singapore (NUS). A big part of his content features life on campus as a computing student and the struggles that come with that. But the types of videos I love the most are those that are most introspective in nature.

With titles ‘My 5 regrets from freshman year’ and ‘You’re not falling behind’, these videos concurrently serve as reminders to his audience to not take life too seriously and enjoy the ride. You can just tell that he was a former intern at a local media production company. The quality of these videos is just amazing.

2) Sha & Ja

Sha and Ja are sisters who are studying at NUS. They vlog about life at NUS and tips for how students can navigate college life. Some of their most watched videos include discussions of what the SIT and NUS interview processes are like.

Some of her most popular videos are the ‘day in a life’ videos where she vlogs about what it’s like studying at SMU and being an intern at local companies like Shopee and Love, Bonito. She currently also runs a TikTok account with over 250,000 followers.

6) Mark Yeow

Mark is a college YouTuber from NUS. Just as what his YouTube bio says, his videos are “cinematic af”. This is exactly why I love his content. Who knew that simple life moments can be turned into cinematic pieces of art. His channel largely features travel vlogs and is sprinkled with the occasional college vlog. As of the time of this article’s publication, his most recent upload is about his study abroad adventures in Sweden. Subscribe to his channel to learn more about student life there!

7) Charlycatcatcat

Charlene (aka Charlycatcatcat) is a student YouTuber from the Yong Pung How School of Law at SMU. She is most known for vlogging about what life is like as a law student at SMU.
